    looking for interior inspirations....

I managed to get both a sink and an oven in mine and kept the full width R & R bed the westy wardrobe was not particularly good use of space but having a full width bed is worth it's weight in gold Has been well used and means almost anything you can cook at home can be cooked on your...

    Power steering

It really depends how often and what you use your bus for as to if it is good value or expensive. Neil fitted mine knowing that there was a shelf across the full width of the cab and he adjusted the placement of the 'big ugly bit' accordingly so I don't notice it as much. If he has found a way...

Mirror - clamp on Yankee Clamp side mirror

I found this in the garage still in the UPS packaging from the USA, I bought it as NOS stock Yankee Clamp on side mirror from TheSamba thinking it would be useful when I was driving in Europe in my RHD westy but I never used it. It's 5x2 1/2 inches with a 6 inch arm cost $60 plus postage. Fixes...

The life span of bus ownership ..

Know exactly what you mean, but this weekend took the westy down to the vintage nostaglia show in Stockton, Wiltshire for the day not intending to stay - but Friday night weather forecast looked good so booked a nice site in the country in Somerset a few miles down the road, not great on...

Earlybay Camp Out 23/4 April 2016-Banbury BOOKING SITE OPEN

Besides, the hide in the corner option has already been allocated to us. In fact we are not going to be arriving until around 5.00/5.30 just to make certain that only a corner in the field exists - fan of lowlight - confirmed, bringing a dark side bus - confirmed, ready for abuse - confirmed, up...

It's a good sign of spring ... MOT time

Thanks Mike it is. It's my cheapest start to the year so far - Graham at Rawspeed in Plymouth did an amazing job sorting the carbs and other associated running rich issues and it has left a bus in a much more reliable state - only taken 5 years to get to this point. Nothing big planned this year...

It's a good sign of spring ... MOT time

Always nice to walk away with a new crisp MOT certificate with no advisories. Thanks as always to Jason at Interpro in Thornbury for giving it the once over this morning. The westy was earning its keep over the weekend taking stuff to the tip (sorry recycling centre  ) and now sorted for...

    Konis for my westy

Yep, still available but produced in limited runs. I fitted them to my westy and the difference was amazing, much better ride on standard height. Starting point here: http://www.koni.uk.com/home/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=38&Itemid=211 Then check the suppliers

Thoughts please on the best source for new SVDA distributor

I've been a big fan of the 123 and its been fitted to two of my buses. Its an investment yes, but depends on other priorities and I like the fact that it always starts. Having said that, the basics when well maintained still do the job
