    U.S import indicator speed

Mine did this, had the indicator wired to the wrong spade connector on the indicator housing, I'd connected it to the sidelight pin by accident - resulted in working but fast flash.

Looking at getting an alternator ,buying advice please

Had a crap repro conk out on me so ended up tracking down a genuine Bosch recon - about £200 but worth every penny for peace of mind and guaranteed quality.

    Rotary Polishing advice....

I was in a very similar position to you when I first got my bus from New Mexico - if you have a look early in my build thread you'll see it rough and then polished. I'd never done it before and borrowed a rotary polisher from a friend, bought a sponge bad and some Farecla G3 (I think!) and got...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

Hardly had a second on the bus recently, unfortunately got made redundant and started a new job. Less money for more work, but at least it puts a roof over my head and food on the table! Managed to source a Bosch re-con alternator as mine is knackered. Will put it in at some point over winter...

    GSF Black Friday

50% off apparently! I'm so over using GSF now, I don't even bother checking even with the codes. It started getting really ridiculous the inflated prices, it was entirely pointless shopping there unless you had a 42% off code, even then it just about brought it inline with other suppliers.

    Sliding door problems

You can buy all the parts you need - you're best whipping it off to see what is wrong with it. If it needs a few new parts, it may be worth replacing the whole thing. Some parts are tricky to get hold of. It's not too difficult to remove the bracket - you have to take the track cover off so...

    For sale: Microbus Rear Mat

Microbus rear mat from my 71 US import. It's in need of a real good deep clean. Some minor tears from years of service but it's still pretty good. £30 collected - happy to wrap/box and for you to arrange courier - it's a heavy thing though!

    Old thread please delete admin

The butty's linkage was the first bit I bought for my bus and it's the best purchase I've made so far - Your work is looking belting so far. Inspiring me to do some more! What did you paint your torsion arms with? they look spot on.

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

Lacking motivation this week due to a baby who has decided to forget what sleep is. Tried straightening the bumpers a bit via running them over with the forklift. Worked a treat on the rear which is now battered but useable. The front is still a bit wonky but will pack the mounts out with a...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

What were the symptoms with your accuspark problem? I've kept my spare bosch dizzy in the van just incase but so far it's running way better than it was before. I'll keep my eye on it though, had read a lot of pretty mixed reviews but it I had it sat in the garage so it went on!

    1969 - GGL 468G

Not the worst I've ever seen! It's a shame about the welding/corrosion - did they outline it all in yellow so you know exactly what needs doing?

    Puzzled over flooring

The stock cargo floor has a kind of raised section around the edge - ie the ribbed flooring is generally a little lower - which is why people pack it out with ply cut to fit the lower ribbed section before covering the whole cargo floor with another sheet.. I've used 6mm ply to cover the ribbed...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

Thanks to George as per usual for saving my bacon with the loan of a timing light, managed to get my accuspark dizzy installed and timed up. I've kept the old Bosch points dizzy under the passenger seat just in case I have any bother. Got the accuspark fitted and timed up fairly easily...
