I got in touch with Vintage Speed directly, they made me a custom exhaust with the tailpipe lower than standard so that it clears the over-riders. No staining of the bumper :)

Has anyone tried the stainless steel and aluminised heat exchangers from JK?

I'm trying to decide...
I got 15" split screen wheels and still had to take a small amount off the caliper, so I reckon you would need to take a fairly large amount off to make the 14's fit. Not sure of the offset on 356 replicas and if they would clear the caliper better, though.
I converted my '68 to late bay disks, then used 130 to 205 adapters. The only issue was that I needed to fit 15" split rims in order to clear the calipers. Probably the best mod I have made to mine :)
I've been thinking of getting one of the cable ends and barrel clamps http://jbevw.com/products
I already have the roller tube which is a nice piece of kit and has helped with throttle issues, particularly not needing a huge spring to return the throttle to idle :)
Mine was an electric pump, so obviously a different issue, but I just wanted to point out that hot running was down to lean fueling, so worth checking the fueling as well as tinware :)
Running lean will make it run hot, took me a while to work out my fuel pump was on its way out and that's why mine was running hot.
Check mixture, air leaks etc. as well.
Around 3" drop on adjusters at the front and adjustable springplates rear. 15" split rims with 185/60/15 front and 195/70/15 rear
Not nearly as low as some, but perfect for me :D
