    Air in brake system

I reckon you are more than capable Mike :) I'm planning to do plenty of pictures when I do mine so will hopefully give you a good idea of how difficult it is Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

If you have a 68 and are now on discs have you checked the residual pressure valve has been removed or had the ball bearing taken out? Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Csp lists different part numbers for the 14 and 15 inch brake pads. I took the vehicles listed on the packaging and it matches the ebc pads stu used for the 15 inch setup. The dimensions match as well so not sure why csp list them separately. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Great minds and all that :) the box for my pads was battered but they survived. Putting them in with the calipers maybe isn't the best packaging idea. Stu has these ebc pads but has the 15" setup so I need to check the pads are the same before ordering...

I figured they deserved some better pics :) also a record of the part numbers for future reference. Stu has suggested upgrading the pads to ebc green stuff so will grab a set before they go on Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Hi Mike, I went with solid. Given a fairly stock engine I didn't think I would get much benefit with drilled really. Don't brake particularly hard, I guess it may benefit down hill whilst towing but never really had an issue on drums and I think any disc would be an improvement. Servo will be...

Wow, nearly 3 years since I updated here. A few bits have changed since, solar added rapido purchased and 2 towbars so will try and post something for posterity soon. Latest arrival this week is modern brakes :) when I looked at the csp kits years ago they had to have 15" wheels so now they have...

I'm Thinking of an Exhaust Change

I took my van to the rolling road shortly after fitting twin carbs but before I changed from a stock exhaust. The tuner wasn't impressed and said it was too restrictive. He even offered me a free run to see the difference once the exhaust was swapped. so you might want something at least a...

    Solar power ?

110ah. I know there are plenty of people on the late bay running 200w of panels. The more you have the better chance you have of topping up on the overcast days or the shorter ones either end of the year. For my use I would typically do long weekends at the start and end of the year with week or...

    Solar power ?

I've got a 100w on the westy roof rack and with lighting, charging devices and running a compressor fridge I get a week easy in the summer. We rarely camp longer but the battery shows over 80% full by the end of most days. This year we were on a spot under a tree for camping and it still was...

    Concrete Cancer at its finest.

If you have 343mm from the bottom of the lintel to the roof you can fit a roller and have all the space [emoji6] Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Sounds like plenty of thought has gone in to it :) the roller doors I got for our garage were £469 each so of you are fitting it yourself it should be way cheaper than a couple of grand..I went with the mini roller due to clearance above the door Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Have you thought about a side hinged door rather than an up and over? Might get you the extra clearance without raising too much. even a roller gets you a few extra inches Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

    Otto’s 1968 resto.

Good luck on the resto. When I rounded some I ground them off (dremel will do it) and then used grips on the remainder of the studs..one the tensions off they turned easily Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

    Disc brake conversion

The CSP kit is on my list to do, maybe for spring. Been holding off as when i looked a few years ago there weren't any kits that worked easily with 14" steels. The CSP seems to fit the bill now :) Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
