    Dormobile bellows cleaning help

I have the exact same issue with my green and white ones. Cream cleaner etc seems too harsh. Hot soapy water seems ok but doesn't make much inroadd into the worst bits (usually up high at the front). I am wondering about foaming tyre cleaner next. Generally a soft brush is better on a textured...

    68 Bay cruising speed?

I've upped mine to 1641cc twin carb with a standard gearbox. 58-59mph seems to suit mine, it seems and sounds happy there and there is still a bit left to go round lorries etc. But whilst it would hold say 65mph it doesn't sit comfortably on the ear or feel sympathetic - it is now over 50years...

Wtd: Glass for dummy guage on dashboard instrument panel

Hi folks, had the dash apart to clean inside the dials and dropped the glass for the dummy dial😠. Does anyone have any replacement glass discs please? Would happily take a complete dummy dial if anyone has replaced it with anything! Its about 95mm diameter. Many thanks, Rich

Holiday aborted - OS Axle spinning within hub.

Many thanks to BeetleLee72, I had a new drum arrive, a hasty rebuild, and a successful bank holiday weekend away :D lee was very helpful in getting the right bits to me quickly and a great help with photos etc in identifying the bits I needed.

Holiday aborted - OS Axle spinning within hub.

Possibly, also as I have been discussing with 67 Westy after that link he posted, I suspect I do have everything I need after all.. I was expecting a spacer outboard of the brg seal but it sits within the seal as I now understand it. The other issue is that somebody seems to have horsed a post...

Holiday aborted - OS Axle spinning within hub.

Apparently slid down the spindle between the bearing inner race and the drum - 2.5mm thick or thereabouts? They just don't seem to be available from anywhere is the surprising bit!

Holiday aborted - OS Axle spinning within hub.

Early indications moderately good - hub nut came off easily, There was a post-1968 drum on a 1968 backplate - one potential source of difficulty - secondly there was no spacer fitted - as Radish suggested!

    Wanted - early 1967-1970 rear brake drum/s

All, thanks to a member on here I think I may be sorted, certainly the van they have come off seems the right age so unless they have been upgraded in an earlier life, I think I have a set of the correct ones on the way. :-) The show might go on!

    Wanted - early 1967-1970 rear brake drum/s

Wow, thank you so much, that is an incredibly kind and generous offer but I wouldn't want to inconvenience anyone else. How kind and what a wonderful community we have here! We are in Belper as it happens but I couldn't possibly. Thanks so much though I am genuinely taken aback!!

    Wanted - early 1967-1970 rear brake drum/s

Chances of this going smoothly are rapidly approaching zero... get a vw, they said, ooh, this one's nice they said, ooh, it's a lovely colour, don't worry, you can still get all the parts for these you know, 1968 is it? Ah, well, that changes things... ffs.

wanted - Dormobile RHD interior for 1971 VW Camper

May be able to help with a buddy seat but will need to make sure I have two complete assemblies for myself before I let anything get away I'm afraid! But I think I will still have a complete one available (I think the brackets make the positionsinterchangeable.) I also think i have a plinth for...

Holiday aborted - OS Axle spinning within hub.

Yep, suppose I could just cut it or as you say if my stars are aligned it might have loosened! there was plenty of metal powder about the place for sure, it looked like I'd just left a trail of glitter behind me, must have come from somewhere.
