have been in the past but i don't tell the missus cos i is always rite!! according to her grace!!
supply and demand.........
i would of thought the same as buses,if people want them badly then they will pay the dollar.
i have the original one in Valerie complete with cracks and chips,as said before by other peeps each nik and crack tells a story.........
having said that i have a new one...
looking at the picture of the dash board it shows two levers, one for fresh air and the other for the heat exchangers............
i have four levers, two for fresh air and two for heat, mine is 69' lhd but surely they should be the same??

[quote="aspro"]Really need to tip the scales a little hear. Hope this helps.
this thread is sweet!!!...............+1 for stock!! :msn4:  :msn4:
mines stock......
corners like a blamonge......or a roll on roll off ferry!!
will probably go as far as stiffening the shocks and thats about it.
its fairly straight forward a bit fiddly but very duable with the engine in
takes a while to remove towbar ,bumper, valance , then engine........
so i will need to remove bumper and valance etc etc.......is that so as you are closer to the fan shroud for ease of access??
sharky.
i might be in the market for a new charging unit, don't know whether i have bearings/brushes issue with the current dynamo.
if i do need a new one (what do i look for to tell if it is foooooked???) do you stick with a dynamo or change to an alternator??
if i change to an...
as above, lately when i run the engine i can hear a grumble/whine/whirrng kind of noise coming from around the dynamo.
it does not sound mechanical like metal on metal (could be wrong).
what could this be??
bearings?
brushes?
what else?
it is not constant but more noticable after you blip the...
is it possible with a complete stock setup including thermostat and flaps??
will the bar connecting the flaps together in the fan housing not foul on the oil coiler when lifted?
can you remove the dynamo on a stock setup without having to pull the engine??
or is it engine out job?
if it can be done what is the way in which you do it?
i'm guessing trying to get to the fixing bolts will be nigh on impossible or is there a seceret way ;)
sharky.
so am I faffing over something trivial??
a little weeping/breathing is all good then??
would it weep even left laid up over the winter or only after it has been run??
so last question on this.......
will it normally leak no matter how good the engine is??
what I am saying is if it was designed to leak like that on a stock setup then so be it,but,if it should not leak at all then I need to sort it out.
from memory when I had ict's on the last engine ooohhh...
so with a total stock setup i must have a blockage somewhere??
i know the pipe from the oil bath airfilter has a slight kink in it but i would not of thought that would be the problem.
could it be the stock airfilter??
would it be worth checking the filter in the oil bath?is it possible to check...
