I have them my scat cam to put in it. Are they really that bad, I've only gone for the short block so ill be putting the pistons and heads on etc. I can't seem to see a price list on the vege site.

I've just ordered a short block from cool air in Kent, I've just been doing some reading on various sites and these engines come from TES which doesn't seem to have a great reputation over the years. Does anyone have any experience with these engines? Or am I going to have issues

So I got a little carried away on eBay as I was looking for a twin port system for my 1641 with twin port heads and bought a solex 30 31 pict carb. Would this be suitable for my engine or will I have to re list it :( If so, are there any good rebuild kits around for it?

Does anyone know where the best place for me to get a front floor repair panel, I have ordered some auto craft parts which are great quality but they don't make any panels for the front floor area. I know that there are quite a few patent parts out there that aren't great quality and don't fit...

I'm going up to 1641 with a scat c25 and twin port heads so I'd hope to get up to 70hp if possible, I'm hoping that the standard box should be able to handle that no problem I just need someone to check that the box isn't a bag of scrap metal.

I'm just about to start a new 1641 engine build, I've bought a engine stand from SGS but the standard mounting plates with the 4 arms doesn't seem to fit. I've seen a couple of vw specific mounts which might work, anyone have any idea where I could get one from? Cheers
