I had a 4.57 ring and pinion and a taller 4th put in my 3 rib with a 100bhp 1906. I was running 185 75 14s and it drove perfectly. The gap between 3rd and 4th is a bit big but it sat @ 70 under 3500.

Has anyone used tsr engine conversion recently? They had some bad press a few years ago so was trying to gauge whether they are better now or not? I'm thinking of doing a 2.0 16v conversion.

I got my 3 rib ring and pinion and 4 gear changed for my 1914 which done the job. Not sure if it will be strong enough for your engine though. I got a firm in hundon Suffolk to do it if you want their info?
I still havn't got a reply to my email sent over a week ago either. Maybe they are on holiday. I have had the wd on for a week now and the creaking is starting to come back. Let us know how you get on with the rubber grease. Might be a more permanent solution.
I just covered my shocks and bushes in wd40 which worked. I also checked the torque setting of the bushes to make sure they were not too tight. I think they are supposed to be 25nm so not very tight.
