So, here's the changes! Back to King and Link pin front beam and I couldn't be happier. Well, a Rayvern or Slambassador juice displacement kit... maybe. Happy... for now, I should say! No Gadget and PeteGee, it doesn't "need wheels"!!!

    1970 Michigan Missile.

Lovely bus! What size air line are you running to the Gabriels? Looks like it may be 1/4? Are you using an adapter at the shock? I have a 1/4 system but at the moment it simply feeds to presta valve T and lines that come with the shock (which are tiny as you know). I really want to get 1/4 lines...

Few updates... Engine out for a post run in clean up ( discovered my oil cooler leaks  ) This will be the third time I've changed my outer CV boots. I went with some Febi ones this time. Will see if they last longer than 6 months! Oh and I bent yet another stainless tail pipe :roll...

    Guido the B-Movie Bus

Wow, 2014 was my last update! Definitely time for another! We bought a new house which I renovated over 2-3 years and so Guido basically became a builders van for the duration! However, now the renovation is basically done, it's time to clear out space in my garage and get him in there...

Thanks guys! Yup, will post some pics when it's all sorted.

Hesitation at low revs when warm

Update: OK, I feel like a bit of an idiot! When I put the Pertronix electronic ignition module in the new Powerspark dizzy I actually dropped all the magnets out of the plastic ring that goes over the dizzy shaft! Assuming the orientation and polarity of these magnets didn't matter, I simply put...

Hesitation at low revs when warm

Yes, I see, I can try cleaning it out with the engine in. If it's really bad and I need to swap it for a new manifold, then it's an engine out job isn't it?

Hesitation at low revs when warm

You know what? That was exactly my next port of call! I'd say mine are warmish, one side more so than the other. I read that the manifold has to be warm to properly vaporise the fuel other wise it just 'pools' apparently! Thank you so much for replying, I'll give it a go. It's engine out job...

Hesitation at low revs when warm

I'm resurrecting this thread as my hesitation is still present. I went over everything again on the engine and it seems the vacuum can does have a leak. Sucking on it whilst on the vehicle I could see the plate move (albeit only a vey tiny amount) so I assume it was OK. Took it off the van and...

FIXED: Rumble / knocking noise from front

Ahh great stuff, best of luck. I've subscribe to your thread so I look forward to hearing when it's fixed.

FIXED: Rumble / knocking noise from front

Sorry mate, I'm not familiar with the Red9 stuff at all. What I will say though (having read your thread and watched you videos) is that no matter how much I pulled the wheels around, whether jacked up a bit, a lot or down on it's wheels, I couldn't get any play in anything, especially the...

FIXED: Rumble / knocking noise from front

FIXED! Turns out it was a combination of three things: 1) Loose shock(s). 2) A ball joint beam make some knocking noises when it has no shocks on it. 3) Stupid owner. Like I said in a previous post, the sound started out very much like a loose shock but then the sound changed when I removed...
