Bought a set of "good quality" ones at a show a few years back and they've turn ed to dust!! both to go on our early...

    Devon Tap Knob wanted

Hi all, I'm looking for a replacement knob for the tap on our 71 Devon Moonraker which exploded on me over the weekend. It's a round one that screws onto the top of the tap assembly. Any pointers thanks Mark

Wanted - early '71 Torsion Bars

So my rear torsion bar snapped, went off like a bullet and scared me shitless in the process, the bus is now sat at a horrible angle down at the back on one side :( So question, where the hell do you get replacements. I tried Heritage who have them in stock but only for Aug '71 onwards. Is...

    47mm tow ball

We're picking up an old trailer from Holland at a show in a few weeks and I'm fairly sure it's got an early size 47mm towball. I have a JK towbar with removable bolt on towball. Anybody point me in the right place to source one that I can bolt on? cheers Mark

JK TowBar - no were near fitting

Why is it that everything you buy now for buses doesn't fit without butchering it? I bought a JK towbar, Watling engineering one, second hand a few months ago and just getting round to fitting it...

    Front Badge...

So after a bottom end respray I've just finished putting the old boy back together and just couldn't bring myself to put the utter bollox that's meant to pass as a chrome front badge back on. I got given an original badge last night and didn't realize just how bad the repro ones are, seriously...

    Heavy Steering

It's been pointed out to me today that the steering on our '71 bay is very heavy, I guess over the 20+ years we've had the old bugger we just got used to heavy steering. The wife has been saying recently that it's a pig to turn the wheel when static but it's not until somebody else used to Bays...

    Tow bar

Anybody got any good recommendations for tow bars. Looking for one for our '71 bay. Wondering if anybody had the JustKampers one as it's on offer at the moment. I don't like the look of some of these with the big heavy tube at the back as the bumper sticks out too far for my liking. cheers Mark

    single trip European breakdown cover

We're off to the VW meet in Holland in a few weeks time and I'm looking for a single trip European breakdown cover, anybody got any advice? I'm already in the RAC for my normal car and was wondering if there were any better deals around for a short trip just to cover the van? RAC have been...

    Restoration - thought I'd share

Just been sorting my Google Pics drives out and thought I'd share the restoration pucs of the van, might be interesting if you want to know whats underneath the panels as this was a kind of extreme resto! 9 years on it's still shiny so was all worth doing properly...

To clear : Deven Bed Unit.....

I've got the bed unit from an early Devon bay, free to a good home or it's going to the tip. Bloody heavy and very solid. Based in Shepshed, near junction23 of the M1. 07581 284327 cheers Mark

    Hot Start Relay!

Wow, what a difference, just been down to Cornwall and back and the old bugger never paused for breathe. More importantly I never got the services with my fingers crossed that the Solenoid would kick in. What a difference and only cost me £4!

    Starter Solenoid??

Does anybody sell these separately anymore? There's nothing wrong with the starter, just the solenoid which keeps sticking when hot. If I can't get a replacement I might just strip it down but would rather just buy one if I can. cheers Mark

    Rear Wheel Bearing?? - knocking

I've had a knocking sound on the rear of our '71 bus for a few months now, like a loose nut knocking occasionally. The other day I heard what sounded like a pop too, something definately not happy. The van's only just gone through it's MOT so I thought I better jack it up and investigate. If I...

    A bits to Stanford Hall

Just taking a few bits to clear out: - Front Tyre Mount, fits the holes originally left by an early bay badge. - Rear Hatch lock and strike plate. I think this is off a '72 crossover - Devon Whale tap and pump, from the type where it mounted at the front of the side cabinet and pulled in and...

Just wondering if anybody had any feedback on the Cab Bunks from BlueBird Customs. I like the sound of not having to fit pillar mounting brackets.
