I took my old engine to Paul at Harry Harpics and he said he would take it apart and let me know what was reusable.
Luckily my case had never been apart before so we reused it along with the rods and crank.

If you can get the cold air flaps to seal properly and your door seals and pedal seals are good you stand a reasonable chance of having a warm cab.
Also having genuine HXs and fully sealed pipework makes a lot of difference.
Yes the clutch arm on the left side of the gearbox has a wing nut if you turn it anti clockwise it will stacken the cable an should help with the slipping.
This will work if the cable has been set up wrong and there is no free play at the pedal.

If you want it matched up they can make it to any shade from an original part like the petrol flap

Bocar can be of varying quality if you're lucky you might get a good one, usually you end up using the body and swaping the jets over from a proper solex.
Having your solex rebuilt is probably a better bet.
