It's on a '70 Bay. The shock mount has come away from the chassis rail. I've removed the shocker and mount ready to get it welded. Am I right in assuming it's safe enough to drive cautiously to get to the garage? I presume that as it's just a vertical movement it should be OK!? Cheers.

Anybody got a new pair of CV joints for a '70 1600 Bay knocking about surplus to requirements. Heritage are out of stock and I only tend to use them now. Must be able to post. Ta very kind.

I'm after a CV boot for my 1600 '70 Bay. I'm on a budget so I need some recommendations. The last one I got from JK only lasted about one hundred miles before it ripped, even though it was cheap it should do better than that and it's a mucky job that you don't want to do so often.

I've just about tried everything to cure this, so as a diagnostic test, I took out all the relevant components associated with fuse 1, sidelights, right rear lamp and number plate light. Took all the bulbs out and pulled the dash light switch one click and 'ffzzzzt' the bloody fuse goes again...
