    Dormobile Project Advice

I can't remember what Dormobile trim looks like - but I'd probably start my search here: https://nlavw.com/144-trims

    CSP bell crank linkage

I have this linkage, with clips on both ends. Always assumed they were necessary so it didn't shake or jolt itself off at some point

    Plastic pushrods v alu

Why not? I've run them on two engines and never had any issue. I think the key is to get good quality seals and to not over-tighten them.

    009 Distributor

+1 for Accuspark. Had them on both my buses and never had an issue.

    Dog Guard solution. 71 Westfalia

My parents have a sort of dog lead that plugs in to a seatbelt clip. Feels like you could install a seatbelt receiver somewhere in the back and use that. Looks like this kind of thing:

    what early bay exhaust ?

Yep, that's a "later" bar that was introduced in '72. My '71 MY has the early style bar.

Stock exhaust and J tube compatibility

The fitting clamp is the same as the one that's used for the tailpipe e.g. A stock zorst will restrict your larger engine, but the puppers comfort wins all! 🐶 A scan on VWHeritage suggests the OD of stock J-tubes is 35mm (example here)

    Crossdresser panel

Panel vans rock! 😎 Your photo is a proper tease. Tell us more! What's going on, on the roof there? What's it like inside? What are your plans? Also a big fan of the Morris (my dad owns a 1000) 👍

    Serpentine Pulley?

If you're not running a rager of a motor, I wouldn't even consider it. Even then, I'd refer to someone like @karlos who I'm sure will have a strong opinion on this one 😉

Stock exhaust and J tube compatibility

A stock exhaust is going to be the quietest option. They can use J-tubes of the "standard"/narrower diameter and don't need flanges. The end that connects to the exhaust box is basically a straight pipe! Is your engine [fairly] stock?

    Roadside Assistance UK

I get breakdown through my bank. Used it more than I'd care to admit 😅 It's a perk that's definitely worth it (my monthly account fee is less than a quote I got from The AA previously)!

    Hardboard Headliner Dimensions

Fancy making me one as well, Andy? 😁 Been a while since I visited your neck of the woods, so if you need an extra set of hands one evening or weekend give me a nudge 👍

    Progress Pics - Dormobile X-Over

Forgive my ignorance here, but that sounds (and looks!) like the drums and pads are in contact, so shouldn't you adjust the brakes before replacing the drum? 🤔 Is it on both sides, or just one? I have a vague recollection of something like this on my bus and it was because I'd installed the...

    Matilda, 1972 Devon Crossover

There aren't enough pink buses - so it gets my vote! I think toning it down a touch would be good - the "original" pink is a bit too loud for me. Great work on the bus so far - look forward to your updates

    1600tp carb , best ideas

This is probably one of those can-of-worms conversations, but in my admittedly limited expertise in this area (calling it "expertise" is even a stretch): if you're going for a single carb then a 34 PICT should do the trick just fine.
