Same pal has been doodling with the cnc and made me these I just stuck them to the beetle for an idea on size. They are made from 3mm industrial grade steel, left bare and can be finished however you decide to do it... Me? I'm leaving mine to patina nicely bolted to the rear bumper on my bus...
