sorry to hyjack your thread, ive heard some exported (africa) deluxe early bays didnt come with the deluxe band trim. anybody know if this is the case?

i had exactly the same problem and it was the side window seal, i still havent replaced the seal but used clear silocone for a quick fix :twisted: stopped the leak for now but it will be replaced when i cone to do the body work and respray :D

here is another picture of the interior i have put in since i got the bus, a westifalia rock and roll bed i have now re-trimmed. there are also 2 danbury boxes behind the cab seats with a hob in one and a fridge in the other both hidden :D its a bit messy with the pannel cards but i will...

i just clicked on this page, your bus looks awsome, i dont say that about many, and you have a sunroof like me :D do you have the winder and the mechanism working???

its early 1970, its imported from the sahara thats why its on a '83 reg. sunroof does open and close but i need the cables, mechanism and winder to complete it - which is proving to be an arse as cables dont seem to exist anywhere :(

when you unscrew the firewall there are a few screws underneath the tank area behind the front tinware, make sure they are removed otherwise frustration will set in :roll: well it frustrated me when i couldn't remove it!
