    steering column related 'how to fix?'

    any tips out there pls? I have a LHD type 2 71/72 crossover and have quite a bit of 'play' in the steering column - (hey, who doesn't?) It's never been enough to fail MOT but previous owner fitted a bit of bodge - a jubilee clip between floor and base of column to try to improve/minimise back...

    will try tweaking the mixture screw a bit then. havent checked the throttle stop screw since this has happened but like you say ought to have a look at when hot - thanks for your tips to investigate - will let you know how I get on! Cheers

    thanks bertie, I've toyed with the idea of what to do for ages and decided to fit a table this weekend and on balance am going to rely on the 'stuffability' i can get with space underneath the seats for awnings etc and now have a much more usable day space in the back...and the kids love it too...
