Yeah it’s been missing those dash screws since the day I got it, and I’ve just not gotten around to finding them. I definitely agree with you about the AAC products they are awesome. The wheel is the first bit of their gear that I’ve bought, but I think I’ll be getting more. I’ve already got the...

Got my steering wheel sorted today, as well as fixing the horn so it now works after 12 years 😂 maybe I should’ve vacuumed the carpets before I took a photo, but it gets used a fair bit now that it’s done

Finally took the bus to its first VW event at Volksfest Australia. As well as it being the first time camping in it since the rebuild. It was a little slow going up the larger hills but the rest of the trip was fine.

Took the bus out for a good run to bed the brakes in over the Kings birthday weekend. 100km’s and everything went great, stops like a dream now. To make it even better I’m thinking of fitting a booster as well. It’s slowly getting there, not much more to go.

Finally got the tool to take off the rear drums, haha. So now it’s got all new brakes front and rear, with a disc brake setup up front and new shoes and cylinders out back.

Replaced the front brakes with a full disc setup now, and now I need to replace the rear wheel cylinders as they’ve started leaking!!! But waiting on parts to turn up. Haha there’s always something that holds this project up.

Got the motor running pretty sweet today so I can get away in the bud this weekend, then when I get back the build of the 1641 starts.

Finally got myself a 4in narrowed beam for the bus, so that the dropped spindles don’t let the wheels foul the guards with the bus sitting as low as it does. Pics to come shortly.

Really happy with the way the carbs turned out now that I’ve bolted the whole thing back together.

This is on my 20 year old Husqvarna WR360 as you can see where my boots rub on the clutch cover it where’s through, but on the water pump cover it’s the same as the day the bike was assembled 20 years ago.

I’ve had it on a bunch of dirtbike parts as a factory coating and it holds up really well, apart from on the clutch covers where your boots are constantly rubbing against it, that’s when you wear it off after a period of time. In this application there won’t be any rubbing so technically it...

Cerakote is the process of heating the cleaned surface and applying a coat of the cerakote before then baking it at a rather high temperature, similar to powder coating, only it’s a lot thinner and doesn’t add any thickness to the part being coated, as it’s a liquid, not a powder. It’s also very...
