Yes think I’ll defiantly go for a new loom. Been speaking with Aircooled auto elec about getting one. Just need to decide if I want any extras adding. Had a leisure battery in the engine bay but think it was only powering the radio and not sure if I really need that now. Any advice on extras?

    Rear air intake paint.

What colour is your paint on the inside of the rear air ducts? Mine is cream the same colour as the top the bus. I’ve seen a couple now that are Matt black inside. As I’m in the process of getting it painted, didn’t know if the black would look better 🤔

Couple of pics of the bus at the painters. Taking it down to bare metal as found some areas on the front panel that need treating whilst rubbing down. Looks like it may have been painted once before but pleased it hasn’t got layers of paint on it.

Haven’t been doing the welding myself, wish I could! Yes engine and box removed and wiring harness pulled through to the front of the bus. Seriously thinking about a new wiring loom whilst it’s stripped down.

Engine lid and rear valance been sat in my garage. So when I dug them out ready for the painters found out they needed a few repairs too. Valance was mainly surface rust but once strip down found one little hole.

Been a while since I’ve done an update. Can’t actually believe it was 6 months ago!! All welding now complete and booked in at the painters for the next month. Underneath all etch primed and a couple of coats of black stone chip.

    Under seal

Thanks for the recommendations I’ll have a look into them. I’ve got a mix of new metal and old. I’m in the process of removing all old underseal and rubbing down any surface rust. Am I still best of putting a primer on first or will most of this stuff not require a primer. I like the idea of...

    Under seal

Cheers I’ll have a look. Looking for something to protect it but don’t want it to look like it’s been coated thick with under seal. Is it best to etch primer it first?

    Dormobile roof removal

Yep thought it would be best with a couple of people. So with the roof fully up do you need to take the tension off the spring or can you just unbolt the strut from the mounting point.

    Under seal

Anybody used this stuff before. I’ve been recommended it and it seems to have good reviews.

    Dormobile roof removal

Hi, Anyone got any advice for removing a dormobile roof. Looks like one side has 3 hinges and the other side has a rail securing the bellow down. Just not sure the best way to go about removing the spring loaded bars in the middle.
