Reversing Lights? Do they have them?

I've a LHD US Import 1972 crossover bay, and after nearly 10 years of ownership just noticed the reversing lights didn't come on. I replaced the bulbs, but notice the old ones whilst dirty looks totally intact. Anyway today I had a mechanic friend take a look and whilst there are wires coming...

Winter use -demister and heating etc?

Loved driving the bus this summer and ideally would like to keep driving it during the winter so i don't have to buy and insure another car. But, my bus has no demister ( just the grills ) or heat exchangers fitted. I don't think heat exchangers can be fitted due to the funky exhaust. If I...

    Moosick in a bay?

Maybe it's cos it's my first air cooled motor, but is there any way of getting decent sounds in a van? It seems that the thing is just too damn noisy ( charming of course ) to bother spending too much time and effort on the stereo front? At the mo im using the exisitng radio/ cd at around town...

1st decent run and she survived :-)

270 miles, Kent to Malborough in Devon, she ran sweet as a nut and only stalled once, came close loads tho ;-) . The kids loved it , took 7 hours door to door including a lunch stop and a final petrol top up stop. She averaged just over 31 mpg on motorways and slightly under on A roads (A303) so...
