It has a bugpack breather box from the valve covers and drained back to the oil filler. Good enough? Or is there a better setup?

As a newbie to van ownership can anyone offer any guidance. I seem to have an oil leak an the front(rear?) of the engine where it attaches to the gearbox. Today I cleaned it all up to find the source it is collecting on the lowest point of the engine. The engine was new less than a year ago...
