    Help needed rebuilding standard seats

I got the ones from VW Heritage when on offer (think they are made by wolfsberg west) They slid straight on? I even stuck thick towels underneath them to stop the coconut fibres coming off when they rub against the springs as I had no standard seat material Did you defo get the standard cab...

To Pop... or not Pop Top?!?

If you can find the pole and bracket set on ebay just get the bunk itself made. Anyone who can stitch in a straight line with a sewing machine could make one. Ive just done an awning with ikea fabric, and it would hold me never mind a small child :)

5 day awning - well did it in 3 hours lol

Well day 2 and first version is finished. Stitched together the canopy (surprisingly quick, but it is simple) and bolt/wingnut'ed the frame together. Ive tried bending and pulling on it to simulate some wind  It seems to hold alright. I guess the real proof will be at the weekend at...

5 day awning - well did it in 3 hours lol

Well had an hour last night, so went to screwfix and picked up some electrical conduit parts, and popped in ikea for some fabric I've temporarily scrapped the wood idea and I'm gonna see how the plastic stands up. It seems to be ok for the roof frame, but I might use aluminium or wood for...

5 day awning - well did it in 3 hours lol

Well set myself a daft challenge. After being at a local car show on sunday, a local VW guy Bob, showed me his awesome split awning setup, with the bumpers supporting the overall structure. With a local mini show next weekend at Tynemouth, I want to see if I can make something similar in 5...

Interior Build - 1970 Import - Made it in a magazine

Well quick update, My DIY temp gauge for the engine bay and engine were sadly a non starter, the delicate electronics just wouldn't work right with the electrical interference from the engine when running. So I decided to can the idea and buy a normal VDO dipstick sender and gauge when JK had...

    Van security -wheel clamp

The ones that cover the whole wheel with the triangle thing are fine, but with the 3 arm types, you can just cut one arm off with an angle grinder with a 1mm disc and the rest falls off.

    Van security -wheel clamp

Clutch and Brake pedal locks are a good one to stop the general chancers, not cheap though, 90-120quid Like the clutchclaw https://www.nkgroup.co.uk/product/vw-bay-window-type-2-clutch-claw-car-security-device/ Steering locks are pointless as easily removed/cut unless its the full wheel type...
