    Clunking under braking

    Ok so not the circlips, both shafts have about 15mm play. Wheel bolts are tight as are the big nuts. Next step raise the rear and spin the wheels then apply handbrake to see which side... Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

    Thanks for the suggestions. Its a klunk klunk klunk as I brake to a stop. Good idea to raise the rear and spin the wheels manually, and will check the drums too. Main suspect still the circlips on the drive shafts due to the gearbox swop. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

    Clunking under braking

    Hi all, just been thru a gearbox swop due to worn/mismatched crown & pinion. Whine now gone but getting a clunking from the rear s I slow down, only under braking . Leave the brakes and it goes. Was suspecting bad cv, but having read a bit will check circlips, any other suggestions for this...
