    My 68 Single Cab.

Next was to plug the oil pump. I was a bit worried about tapping the hole with it being on an angle so I practiced on the old pump!

Then onto engine rebuild. I had the case line bored but decided to open the case up for 90.5 barrels myself. Luckily my mate had bought the tool for this when he was doing some drag racing in the early nineties. I also drilled and tapped the case for a full flow oil system.

    Rear drums for a 68

Cheers, looks like my best option is to buy a new splitty drum and turn it down then. Thanks for all the help. Andy.

    Rear drums for a 68

I thought that but I can’t find an early drum for sale. Heritage have them on back order. As I have got to replace the cylinders and shoes could I fit the slightly later back plates, shoe and cylinders? Will they fit my stubs! Also will all the original springs fit or would I need a new kit...

    Rear drums for a 68

I thought it may be a one year only part! I looked on Heritage’s site. They list a 68 only drum up to a certain chassis number. Then another for 68 to 70? My chassis number is later so am I right in thinking the one listed as 68 to 70 is the correct one for me? Thanks for the help, Andy.

    Rear drums for a 68

Got onto the rear of my 1968 single cab today. Thought something was wrong when undoing the hub nut one side and the drive shaft was turning but the hub was stationary. I got the drum off and the splines are different. The dodgy drum only has 6 splines evenly spaced but obviously to big for the...

    Single cab fuel tank

Can anyone tell me if there is a gasket or seal that goes under the tank on a single cab where the fuel outlet is. It looks as if water could get in if there is no seal. Also does the tank sit on rubbers on top of the tank mounts on the floor? Cheers Andy

When I bought the pick up it had been sprayed a light blue, I am trying to rub it back to its original lotus white. Long job!

It was now onto the front suspension. I have a transporterhaus 4” narrowed beam and French Slammer dropped spindles. I rubbed the under arches and centre floor are down then epoxy primed. I then stone chipped and painted body colour.
