    Fuel guage issues

I also have crossover and the wire on mine is brown too. I have recently taken the tank out and replaced the sender unit in mine. Also replaced the wire from the tank to the dash and it all now works fine and is steady.

72 crossover petrol gauge wiring issue

Thanks very much for your reply, we had wired up wrong. The clock now works as well as the gauge for the first time in years. Always a bonus to know when it's coffee time!

72 crossover petrol gauge wiring issue

Having gone to all the trouble of dropping the engine out partly to put in a new sender unit and clean out the tank etc., we are almost ready to go. This weekend's step backwards was that the petrol gauge seems to be working in reverse. When we put a new loom in and reconnected everything back...

    Dormobile headliner cheat ??

We did exactly that in our Devon last year. Definitely wasn't going to take the windscreen out!

    Newbie

Hello there, I own a 72 crossover, though mine is a devon conversion. There are some parts that are 'one year only' on crossovers, which puts the price up if they are even available. The indicator stalk for instance, may seem a minor thing - but getting hold of one is very difficult, as is...

Thanks everyone for all your posts - most useful. Will let you know the results of our attempt! (Hopefully no fire extinguishers involved).

    Fuel tank sender-Vw T2

Has anybody cut a hole in the top of a camper rear shelf/bulkhead to change the fuel tank sender, rather than take the engine/tank out? Is it feasible?

    Devon Pop Top Questions

Hi there, have recently refurbished and re installed my Devon pop top, so may be able to help with some questions. Mine is a crossover 72, and has the bellows held in place with aluminium strips, but I think on later Devons the strips were plastic. I have some pictures and also used information...

    Rattling fuel pump

Thanks Ozziedog, I didn't change the pushrod, though it is the right length for the pump. It is probably the original one so will be worn. So I guess it's another job to add to the list. 😩

    Rattling fuel pump

As usual it's one step forward and six back in getting the van on the road. Old fuel pump was leaking as the seal had gone in the top section (original old one with the screw on the top). Can't get the seals any more so bought a new pump. Engine runs great now the carb settings are all...

    Devon Moonraker 72 Crossover

It's been seven years off the road, but nearly there. We had the bodywork done, but decided to do everything else ourselves, engine strip and rebuild, complete rewire, brakes, lights, headlining, pop top refurb (current project) and interior resto on furniture and headlining replacement. Come...
