Have a spare sets of Porsche 996 and 997 seats. Picture look like 997 pattern. Probably look same in similar year Porsche 911 or 987. Seats seem to large for comfortable seat position in T2. Just wondered if anyone has used more modern Porsche seats in a VW Bay T2, with Porsche seat tracks...

Porsche tombstone seats in black. 1. What are the Porsche part numbers and year/model of Porsche removed from? 2. Are the seats manual adjustment only, i.e. no electric components? 3. Have they ever been installed in a Bay T2, i.e. seats not to large for proper fitment?

Toured Europe for nine months with 1972 VW T2ab, Kombi, Westfalia."Los Angeles." Also toured across United States and back several times. No problems, no radio and no thoughts of having any failures. Kombi prepared by professional Volkswagen AG technicians. Had a great touring experience.

Did not know VW did high lights from the factory. High lights replacing low lights front panels are more common with body repairs. AB Crossover information very useful for rebuilding my 1972 T2 Kombi (SO 72/2) 'Westfalia - Los Angeles." Thanks all 🍺

I have two instrument clusters. One speedometer with trip odometer in miles. Extra clocks for '72 that need repair, never broken open. All have OEM '72 faces, so they are out there. Good luck hunting, makes hobby fun!

Are replacement stainless steel sheet metal covers available for the OEM VW T2 exhaust system? Replacing the sheet metal would be the simplest solution.

🚐 A kph overlay on my mph speedometer was available in 1972. The odometer and trip odometer remained reading miles. Changing the kph to mph, or the reverse, odometers will be the challenge for conversions, internal gear change required :unsure:
