    gear change bushes

Hi, just trying to do this at the minute and am struggling to understand how I can get the housing off that connectro to the rod in the tube. Maybe it's just pushed on but don't want to force anything. I tried to look at the link but nothing is coming up.

    Progress Pics - Dormobile X-Over

Removed the Gearbox today to figure out the sloppy gears whilst I am sorting the engine out. Found a cracked head on her. I think I found the issue. Plastic bush in the nose cone that the hockey stick locates. Massive amount of play and 50 years of Gunk. Ordered a new one along with a gasket...

Yeah I have looked high and low from every trim specialist but nothing. It's odd that every record has gone. I guess most of the original workforce at Dormy have now gone too.

    Progress Pics - Dormobile X-Over

So have been busy doing the little bits on Lizzi. New rear Seat Belts, LED's, replacing the windscreen motor brushes, electronic ignition with new dizzy and a few more I can't think of. She has visited a few local shows as I have an oil light issue and a hot engine issue. Today I have been...

Early bay T2 Dormobile knock on kitchen trims

I know this isn't a great help but you could plrobably doctor some of this tile trim to have a nice top finish and have the cut finish lower part. It's the only 6mm trim I could find and as it's plastic it's probably going to be easy to slice with a blade. Good luck. The trim for the cupboards...

    Dormobile/Rear seatbelt set up…

I am going to opt for the Securon Lap Belts. They have to be longer because the anchor points are further back than a normal rock and roll bed. The code is 217E which gives you upto 60 cm on the buckle and then 150 on the webbing side. If you have the original units in then the fixings behind...

    Progress Pics - Dormobile X-Over

Apologies, Life got in the way. I have been doing a few bits including Electronic Ignition, Fuel Lines, rear seat belt points added, purchased a new whole front from Busfest. Just need a competent VW Welder to get that on. But it's a big job as everything needs to keep it's alignment. Fixed the...

Dormobile pop top pvc material tape

I did a little experiment on this subject. Before and after pictures then the video of my findings. The video is too big but the long and short of it was that £1 shop super glue was the best stuff. The other thing tested were Stormsure adhesive, double sided sticky tape which is a great quick...

I think I will do this too when I am changing the oil. Are their specific seals for them?

Hot Engine and Oil light on advice needed

So the. Here's the oil pressure, 950 lower reading, 2500 rpm second reading and 3000 3pm third reading. Probably not the best oil pressure guage. What I did notice was that the temp on the dipstick was less than the oil pressure guage input. See pics

Hot Engine and Oil light on advice needed

Sorry for the long post. I have a stock engine with Electronic Ignition and a new fuel pump after a recent failure. New oil and I have checked the oil pressue with a guage. The guage was showing 19lb on idle after driving to the guy who tested it for me which was only 2.5 miles away so the...
