Wheel Arches are flat on my 1972 Crossover?

Just as a matter of interest. Should mine be Flat or rounded. All the Wing specs state the 72 should have rounded but mine are flat. Was wondering if mine was one that was a flat from a crossover or someone added them after the van needed some new ones.

Carb Decisions Solex Refurb or new EMPI

So then I have found a guy on ebay called Jon from Wakefield. He refurbs Solex Carbs. Which I like the sound of. Or it's a new EMPI carb from Heritage. Question is? What's the best. I have a standard stock 1.6 engine and the current carb is an unbranded and has a leak on the throttle bush, so...

Fuel Sender Tube needed or dimensions

I have managed to get the Fuel Sender out of my 72 Crossover. The reason it wasn't reading was that the Nichrome Wires had come adrift. I also don't have the sleeve/tube that the float sit within to keep it steady or protected. I am not sure if it's actually needed or not. But I am guessing that...

    Reducing interior weight.

So I currently have a stock 1.6 Dormobile conversion. I am wanting to replace the interior with the same but want to replace it with a lighter material. I think it's currently 15 or 18mm plywood which is seriously heavy. I am looking to see what others have done to replace the wood with some...

Horn sounding when keys touch the steering collumn

I thought I had fixed the horn issue. It sounds as it should when you press the button. The thing I noticed the other day when I was adjusting my shifter plate I had the keys in the ignition and it was on. I must have knocked the keys against the steering collumn and the horn sounded. I then...

I am sure I am going to answer my own question here. I have on my 1972 Crossover with one screw headlight rims, which retain the lense/main headlight. Today I took one of the rims off to investigate how much room is behind. There was some angled brackets attached to the inner rim. I take it that...

Gear bush replacement without removing the Gearbox and Engine

I need to replace the bushes in the rod. I really need to do it in situ as the engine and gearbox are just fine. I have a 72 crossover and I have the bent first part of the shifter rod. Was wondering if because it's bent it can be moved to come out at an andle and therefore releasing the other...

Rear Hatch Door Modification old to new bay

I have the opportunity to purchase a rust free older Rear Hatch Door. Mine is a Crossover and it's a different door. As far as I can see it's only the hinge holes that are different. Has anyone any experience on moving the holes to the door sits in the correct place for an old to a newish door.
