Group buy- Delrin bush for shift rod

Looks like you've already extended beyond 10, but if it still works for carriage I'd take one.

Where could I get one of these from?

I find chandleries are a great place to look when you're after clips, toggles or obscure fixtures and fittings. I'm not from a boating backround and I could tell you what half the items are intended for, but the deck hardware is generally good quality (often stainless stee)l, reasonably priced...

68 Bay - Is there a quality 4 pot alternative to the CSP Delco caliper?

Hi Clem, just dropped you a DM ;)

68 Bay - Is there a quality 4 pot alternative to the CSP Delco caliper?

Thanks Clem, I'm looking to fit something better rather than replace like for like. Out of interest, how did you end up with the spare set of calipers, did you fit something else?

68 Bay - Is there a quality 4 pot alternative to the CSP Delco caliper?

I believe the CSP is the only kit that can be used with a 14" steel wheel, it's the reason I went for CSP at the time. I should add I'm running 15" alloy sprinstars currently so the ability to fit 14" steelies again would be a bonus but it's not the end of the world if I can't. David Slack's...

68 Bay - Is there a quality 4 pot alternative to the CSP Delco caliper?

My 68 bay is fitted with the wide-5 CSP kit suitable for 14" steel wheels and the calipers are both shot with a full rebuild required to get them going again, rather than rebuild the crappy Delco calipers I'd prefer to replace them with a better quality alternative. Willwood seem like a...

    Fitting 3/4 side windows

Not yet, got sidelined with getting a new loom fitted and the engine and transmission back in so it's still on the to-do list, but at least we'll be approaching it a little more clued up this time ;)

    Fitting 3/4 side windows

Awesome, thanks Sparkywig this has been a great help (y)

    Fitting 3/4 side windows

Ahhhhh OK...., so does that rear window tab just sit in the position of the notch, or do you can push the tab through and slide the window forward with the tab sliding down the inside of the window seam to lock it in the position? I don't suppose you have an image of the cutouts on the vertical...

    Fitting 3/4 side windows

Thanks for the info Sparkywig. No there wasn't a opening window there before, I was wondering whether the window seam should be notched to allow the tabs to press forwards. I'll see if I can find an image, proportionally how deep would you guess they cut into the seam, 1/3?

    Fitting 3/4 side windows

...and what about the tabs on the square edge, do these go on the interior or exterior face of the window seam?
  15. giraffeinbath

    Fitting 3/4 side windows

So just to clarify, those tabs go on the interior side of the window seam?

    Fitting 3/4 side windows

We came to fit some mid rear 3/4 windows yesterday and came unstuck on getting the opening quarter window in pleace. We just couldn't get ity to sit right, it's a repro from VW Heritage with new rubber to seal so I was expecting it to be a tight fit but we ran into problems with the metal tabs...

Refitting rear torsion bars without original reference points

I guess so yes. As I say, the torsion bars are out of the vehichle and the original sharpy pen ( I know.., I know... ) reference points have scrubbed off so I have no indication of their original rotation when inserted. I can't see any factory marks either so how did they know which...

Refitting rear torsion bars without original reference points

I need to refit the rear torsion bars into our '68 T2 but unfortunataly the reference marks I made on the bars and chassis have scrubbed off during the work so there's no reference to their original position. Obviously there are a million video's of folk demonstrating how they can be rotated to...

    Chassis Repairs...

I'm looking for a chassis rail repair panel where the rear C-section becomes a box section in front of the torsion bar tube, they seem to be available for late bays but not for anything pre 70. Looking for an equivalent to this...
