I had a bit of a nightmare with mine, it was like wrestling a skeleton. Realised afterwards that it would have helped if I had nipped all the bolts up first just to make it that little bit stiffer. I would just get it in the right place then as I moved it would all collapse. Hope this helps

I had a similar problem. Elbow grease and one of those scouring pads that are attached to a sponge did the trick with very hot soapy water. It wasnt too harsh to damage the vinyl but it got the paint off. A little t cut might help as well.
