    Anyone know of?

    Insure it on the chassis number temporarily explaining the reason why and that youve got a MOT,then when you get the reg plates just change it over,thats what I did.

    Still knocking!

    I had similar knocking and found it to be the top bolt on the shocker just needed nipping up .I had previously replaced all the shocks and was sure that I had tightened them all.Worth a quick look.

    Engine overheating??????

    I cant see no reason why you shouldn't be able to drive all day at that speed as long as everything's up to scratch,ie timing, valves set correctly, fresh oil,complete tinware,fan belt adjusted correctly etc. I often do 7 + hour journeys with short breaks for toilet and tea breaks with no problems.

    Yeh Ive done that in Australia where I hired hightop Toyota, couldnt find any VWs, drove up the east coast Sidney to Cairns .Left it there, flew to Alice Springs ,hired another Toyota drove out to Airs Rock and then onto Kings Creek.Cant give you any help with where to hire as it was 10 years...

    Yeh when I had my first diesel van I think it was half the price of petrol.I`m pleased with my gas conversion and I pay top wack for it here in Cornwall (like you do for everything) its 59.9 Ltr. :)
