If you go down an undulating road, there is loads of suspension travel and the bus rides lovely. It's the small bumps, like a rough road surface that cause the bus to ride 'crashy' - I thought that was the job of the shock absorbers?

Genuine solex 32/34 pdsit. I have set the choke unit so the butterfly flap is 75% closed when cold, they don't quite close fully.

Ok think I've sussed it now. Took both carbs off & the throttle flap was completely closed. Adjusted the screw to get a 0.1mm gap, and put back together. Now the big idle speed screw on the top of the left carb does actually control the idle speed, and it now idles fine when warm... however...

Checked the fuel filter.. looks completely clean. Also checked the timing & got that spot on. Still got quite a bit of fuel in it, so will take a trip out in it at the weekend, try to run as much of the fuel as u can, then top it up with super unleaded. Also ran quite a bit of redex directly...

The electronic ignition is at least 5 years old, as that's how long I've owned the bus.. could be a lot older than that. Ignition leads & coil probably about 3 years old.. may be worth trying a different coil?
