1000 euros or less for a bay?

Got a note on my windscreen outside the supermarket today. Instead of wanting to buy my van this one was offering me a 1979 kombi for 1000 euros or near that amount. The note says the engine is bloque which I think means seized but could just mean not working.

Anyway i'm skint and there's no way I can buy it but I could go and have a look and take pics if anybody off here might be keen. Not sure what it would cost to get back to the UK but there are cheap flights to Toulouse from Bristol and Leeds/Bradford as well as a decent VW garage nearby that builds engines.

Let me know if you want me to have a sniff around on your behalf as I quite fancy ringing to have a look but don't want to waste the blokes time.

Went to see the van earlier on- its a strange one with some bits good and others well dodgy. I liiked the hitop with porthole and sunroof but there were drawbacks too....Have alook!
