He had an early bay tintop, & one or maybe two beetles 1968 or 69. All looked a similar shade of beige, all immaculate.Over the 30+ years since i would only ever see a glimpse of them beneath his part opened garage door.Only ever saw the beetle out once. Last time was 2021 or '22 when we stayed in Beddgelert just past his house . Beetle was a bit rougher than it used to be but still out & about in all weathers.
