Early Bay tin top for sale . Camper conversion based on a De Luxe Californian import, LHD 1968.
This is a lovely Bus in titian red I bought this 3 years ago. I have all the receipts for all the work carried out. She is kept in a garage when not on the road.
The only welding ever done has been a replacement battery tray which seems always to be needed even when the bus has spent all its life in a dry climate.
Everything else is original and solid. It has 12 months mot until next August 2015 and of course is tax exempt. She went straight through her Mot with the only advise of slight play on steering.
She drives great and has never let us down. It has a "Gold" replacement 1600 engine (came with the van) and a Webber Twin choke Progressive Carb.
Some other things are:
Porsche driver and passenger seats
Electronic ignition
Alternator conversion
Replacement Reconditioned Steering box
Inertia reel seatbelts
VDO Oil Temperature Gauge
Mild Lowering front and back
New headlining
New Sunvisors and hinge covers
Sony Radio/CD Player with Mp3 Connection
Twin Speakers in Rear.
Leisure Battery and fused socket
Twin Charging system
240 Volt Hook-Up with circuit breaker and sockets
Window rubbers replaced all round
New seals on sliding door, rear hatch and engine lid
Camping wise there is a full width rock and roll bed , an original Devon cooker box which can be lifted out when not needed or for awning /Outdoor use and an original devon table (Both rare items).Privacy comes from a set of Thermo screeens for inside the windows which also prevent condensation, keep warmth in in Winter and Heat out in Summer.
Altogether this is a really nice ready to go van with a solid body and reliable mechanics which is now ready for another 40 years.
price is £10,500 Ono
