I am looking to sell my Westfalia after seven years of ownership. It is a regrettable sale but through lack of use it seems a sensible choice due to the cost of keeping him in dry storage per year.
I’m in no rush to sell. There are a few little jobs I was planning to do over the winter before selling (refurbish the wheels, new roof canvas and replace the speedometer cable - it’s jumping a little), but other than that the bus is in almost perfect condition.
As far as I am aware the bus is very original but the engine has been replaced with a 1971 engine. The only modification I have made is an upgraded distributor with electronic ignition (with updated coil).
I have put a link at the bottom of a detailed video the previous owner made of the vehicle. Since purchasing, the bus has always been garaged and looked after. I have covered approximately 4K miles, but over the last three years barely any at all. As such the bus is still as seen in the video.
Please feel free to call with any questions, I’ll do my best to answer them, however I’m no expert, just an enthusiast.

Nice bus, I remember watching that video a few years back making me want a complete Westfalia, I've now got a very similar condition 68 Westfalia of my own (I've got a few YouTube videos of mine too).

Thank you. Do you have links to the videos of your bus? Would be good to see them.
The previous owner my bus knew a lot more than me about them, the video he made of it was so detailed I thought I would reuse it. We kept in touch for a long while, he did give me permission to use the video a while back.
Look forward to seeing your bus :)

That's cool. Looks a lovely bus. Here's an up to.date video of mine:

And one I did when I first got it.

Thanks for posting the videos. Stunning bus! Can I ask, what kind of Carcoon are you using? I’m paying a lot of money to keep mine in a heated garage, which is half the reason I don’t use my bus much as it’s a few miles away. Watching these videos just makes me want to keep mine :) tbh it’s only the wife that thinks we should sell, I’m looking for reasons/justification to keep him.

I have an Outdoor Carcoon from the Carcoon company. It's a size 5 made to a custom height of 2.1m

Thanks, I had looked on their website but none of the standard sizes are high enough. I didn’t realise they did custom sizes. I’ll get in touch with them, it might mean I can persuade my wife to keep the bus. Thanks again.
