the time has come to sell my westy due to other projects ,ive had a few buses over the years and i can honestly say that this is the best one i have ever had the bus was imported from south africa by scott wilson who bought it from its original owner i have photos of its life and history dating back as well which is always nice.the bus is an SO67R model and made in a non walkthrough version which only the south african buses were done making it quite rare and also extra seating for traveling .the bus has been fully restored having had a full strip down and paint including engine bay under the wheelarches (the lot )which has been done to a high standard, the only welding needed was a lower corner repair and a couple of pin holes under the windscreen the rest is all original ,the inside is original throughout and in outstanding condition there are a couple of small tears in the canvas but its to good to replace if im being really picky. the childs hammock is there as well and in great shape ,i have changed the single roof bed for a double continental version which is trimmed to match the rest but have the original to go with the van, mechanically it is great having a 1600 single port with twin 34ict carbs and a freewayflier gearbox which has a higher final drive for motorway cruising and a gene berg shifter so makes changing gear a pleasure, the suspension has a 4 inch narrowed bean from creative enginering and wagon west drop spindles, at the back it has a 2 spline drop ,i have kept all the original suspension as i no not everybody likes lowered buses , the bus also has a westfalia towbar which is handy for towing small trailers ive probably missed loads but overall this is an outstanding example thats ready to use for summer and will be missed ... I will add some clear pictures at the weekend

You haven't mentioned a price. Obviously great van. I think the phrase I'm thinking is ball park

sorry for the chit chat but this is one of the best rhd german built westys i`ve ever seen let alone had the pleasure of being involved in along the way.It was built in germany NOT SA although it did live there its whole life in the northern Transvaal which is really really really hot and dry...owned by a judge to boot and i believe this is a giveaway considering prices at http://www.vwclassics.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://www.gdaykombis.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
