My van is now for sale, so thought I'd start the ball rolling on here first. I need to add more details and photos but here's a brief summary:
No rot underneath whatsoever – MOT garage (classic specialists) said it was the best example they've seen!
New recon 1641cc engine with new twin carbs in 2016 – done less than 1500 miles since then and drives lovely
Fully serviced as has been in wedding hire since Oct 2016 (so driven about 20 times since then)
New starter motor and brakes
Original Westfalia interior – very clean and tidy
Plenty of history (including California history)
All documentation and UK registered
Unmolested stock van that looks the part in spearmint/turqoise
There's a little minor cosmetic/surface bubbling around a couple of the side windows which I'm looking into whether I get sorted first – this is the only gripe I have with the van and it's not serious or bad, would just finish it off
Lots more that I will add when I have time including more photos but happy to answer questions
This is a lovely van that gets a lot of attention wherever it goes and is ready to go with camping interior. Will be sad to see it go as have had it for about 6 years but I need to free up the cash for other projects.
£20k ovno which seems a good midway point between a concours van and an expensive project moneypit! Happy to share more photos, just ask.
