The 68 model year production started in August 67 so yes it's possible to have a 68 model year registered in 1967, after August. Not that many of them around though.
A 68 model year bus would be built between August 67 and July 68, a 69 model year between Aug 68 and July 69, etc.
So a '67 bay' must be a 68 model year, even if built in 67.
I hope I have this right and have not made a total arse of myself in public.
The 68 model is renowned for having many 'one year only' features, making it much sought after but also awkward to source original/NOS parts for. Or so I understand.
If you are getting a 68 and you want the original parts is probably worth checking a few of the one year only bits to see if they are there.
Ones that spring to mind are:
Wiper arms (silver with a grub screw)
Rear view mirror (long silver stalk)
Brake fluid reservoir (small kidney shaped bottle in LHS kick panel)
Doors (pull knob type with push button handles)
Saves you a load of hassle trying to find them if you're bothered
No i swapped it for my T25 about the same value I think
Its a bit of a blank canvass in the back but I'm well pleased.
It has its birth certificate which dates it october 67 supplied to belgium.
our club will be going to EBI next year so it will be visiting home.
