1968 early bay imported from California about 9 years ago. It came over as a microbus deluxe, with red bench seats (micro bus), I've got photos of it when it arrived.
I purchased a couple of years ago from a guy in Colchester.
Spec on bus
•1600 single port engine(standard)
•Twin quiet pack exhaust
•Standard gearbox
•Type 2 detectives 4" narrowed beam, king and link-pin with dropped spindles and disc brakes upfront
•Spring plates on the rear
•15" chrome radar wheels
•Bugtech shifter (awesome bit of kit!)
•Interior re-trimmed middle of 2015 in the black and red vinyl, with new foam (slept on for 2 nights)
•dynamat lite sound dreading on the floor
•radio/DVD head unit
•USB ports front and rear
•3 bow stainless steel rack
•chassis and outriggers are spot on, totally solid, little bit of work needed on the front arches. A few battle scars around it, it's a good honest bus
I've advertised it at £13500, May have a deal with a bug (pre 66)
Genuine reason for selling, bought a t5 and I'll probably not use it as much as I’d like. I'd rather not sell it to be fair as solid ones are hard to find, it’s not getting used as it should so it’s time for someone else to enjoy it, so it's up for grabs
