Is this
a, Known
b, overpriced
c, any good?

I likes it and am very tempted!!

I know a lot of people drive LHD vans but IMHO I have had both and unless you intend to go to europe a lot then I would get a RHD.
:)

Hi,

I have LHD and to be honest - not an issue (I also drive a RHD auto car, and manual RHD so mixing it up doesn't cause me issues)

Just some quick thoughts:

It's listed as 1971 - so upgrade to disc brakes is strange as it should already have them fitted
The arial - thought 1971 was a single mount not double

With the above in mind...is it a 1971 bus? Doesn't have the usual things - could be an early one so I'd ask if it's got a brake servo fitted (should have if 1971) and ask for the m-plate code to de-code it and check the age

was white over gray a standard colour? if not it looks like it's already had a paint job so what could be hiding underneath....also buddy seat and cooler unit is missing so add a further £400 - £500 to source good ones to complete - also doesn't have original panel cards in rear so again, looks like it's had work and isn't exactly an OG unmolested example

Just initial thoughts from looking at piccies - I'd get m-plate code and make sure it's firstly a genuine westy, and secondly it's definitely a 1971

hope that helps

Thanks for the advice both.

Would prefer a RHD too but with the options being to buy a possible shed or an overpriced aussie or SA import I thought i would move to a Leftie. Prices are a bit more reasonable.
Will try and get that M code, and thanks for the tips lard to make sure its a genuine 71.To be quite honest tho,I am not getting a good feeling about it as I have asked a few fairly simple questions about it and not got an answer.
Only really looked at it because I could have paid it off on the old card in 2 or 3 lumps instead of 1 big un.

Unless anyone knows of somewhere else that accepts credit cards?

cheers

Wayne
