Alfa romeo distributor anyone?

Hi guys, just got an Alfa Romeo distributor from a friend...with coil and allthe bits to get a "pointless ignition" :lol: ...have any of you tried this route before?
I see it as a cheap alternative to a pertronix, lumenition, etc...just want to know your views about this conversion.....it is just for a stock 1600 twin port...

Personally I'd just get a Petronix kit, only £60 and you know it will work.

Thanks....I will give it a go anyway, Imalready have it...and itws only 24€...less than20£
