I bought this from a guy near Sacramento in Cali, it has really faded sign writing sayin 'Jordans Crossing Mnistries' and phone number below, these guys still exist and the phone number is the same but with 3 more digits before it. they even have a website... it's interesting reading :?

http://www.jordancrossingministries.org/index2.html

sorry about the crappy pics, they were the only ones i got sent...

It's pretty unusual being a non walkthrough Deluxe too

i've emailed the Jordans people to see if they have any pics of it when they owned it... i hope they don't try and rope me into their cult

maybe you could convert them to earlybayism

nice find! british churches had commers and transit, the yanks had deluxe bays!

I just got this reply from the Minister himself... a little interesting story i think...

Blessing to you 'Tim. I am glad that you got that ole bus. I am not sure of any pictures, but if I run on some as I go through ole photo's I will surely send them. the history on the bus is this. A yong man from Sac. ca into our ministry and while here began college at Butte. Wehn he graduated our ministry I gave hm the bus as a grad present. His fahter who is a dentist in sac took the bus and had abrand new eng and trans axle put it it. then the young man began to run around and drink ect.al so I wnt and stripped our logo off. It wasn't long after that that he left here and went to Ola. there he enter Bible school and has sice grad and is married with tow wondrful children. here is his email I can't find his email right now so I will lok it up and send it to you soon. Hope the bus works out great for you.

cool bit of history, when you joinuing them? they give out free busses!

did they make you promise to look after it?
I once bought a 1.1 MK1 escort off a vicar, had to promise id restore it back to its former glory, im not sure he meant 2.1 pinto, slammed, rims and leather

Good point, maybe i'll get all god fearing just on the chance i might given a free bus

i didn't buy it of them, i bought it form a guy who bought if from a guy who maybe bought it from the guy who got given it... who knows  but as i didn't buy it from them they can't really tell me what to do with it :)

its interesting to see the kid that got the bus turned to drink. The christian culture in the US is exploded to the point were if you go to the pub for one your evil! the conservatives in power are very pro christian and they teach creationism in science classes.

Cool bus though i dont think id want that particular sign writing on the side if it were mine.

That gave me the image of a raging priest with a heat gun and white spirits. :)

Good bit of history.

Man cool history there :D

I intend to chase up the history on mine when I finnish her get a pic to the previous owner...but seeing as he was a radio ham cant see it being as ineresting....

En-raged bible thumper aw man cant stop chuckling away....

Oh i just realised linked to the home page... you need to go here so you get to see the intro!

I like the bit of the intro where is says about being 'straight and narrow'. Thats what this bus needs I reckon :)

Bought my very first Beetle (1300 jeans) from a vicar. He was a real cool dude

That's a cool story, but like Johnny says, I wouldn't want that stuff on my bus!

;)

Well i don't have a religious bone in my body so they are just words to me... the story is just cool history for the bus :)

Dude - it's your bus! I'd never try to tell anyone what to do with their ride :D

I don't have a religious bone in my body either - but I do have a dashboard Wobble Jesus for ironic reasons!!

;)
