I have been enquiring about possibly being a supplier of Propex gas heaters. If I get enough interest I can pass on the discount to early bay users.

This is just a feeler at the moment & I have not posted on any other forum. This is not a for sale thread as I have none to sell at the moment.

The heater is 12v & comes as a full kit with the thermostat, all wiring & ducting. It uses either propane or butane gas. You will need a gas bottle, pipes & regulator if you don't have one already. you can 'T' into the cooker if you have one. A fitting service will be available too. I have just ordered one unit for a customer & will be fitting it next week.

I am going to buy one for my Westy too so folks can see one in operation. They are normally fitted under the bed & the exhausts vented out under the van.

Prices are likely to be around £375 inc vat each.

Let me know interest & I will see what I can do...

I am interested in fitting one of these in the notch, so keep me infomred dood 8)

Ok , I will keep this thread running.

If I get 5 definate orders that people are prepared to either pay a hefty deposit or full payment up front then I will get an order together.

The discount is only worth doing on 5+ units. I will work out the cheapest way to post them, or could meet or deliver on my travels depending where you are.

Cheers guys.

I'm in a similar boat - interested, but not on the urgent list. But at £375 its a good price compared with other outlets

Nice work Pete. I will be looking for one in the new year 8)

Mike you'll be fine teeing the gas and you dont require a corgi registered fitter though its wise to get a pro (technician not street walker) in if nothing but to satisfy the insurance Co.

I don't think there are any regulations on doing anything in a camper. Personally I don't touch 240v but fitting a heater & Teeing into the cooker is no big deal. I have fitted them before under the bed.

I have one to fit next week, so will get some pics.

As long as the joints are done properly there is no problem.

The heaters exhaust runs out under the van so is safe.

They work independently of heat exchangers. The beauty of the Propex is you can have it on at night & the thermostat will keep a nice constant temperature.

Heat exchangers only work with the engine running.
