Are 8.8 Strength Bolts strong enough for Clutch Pedal?

So usually I just ask my local Fixings place for 'the strongest bolts they have' when replacing things.

However, I didn't have time to go there before I started building up the clutch pedal and I used some 8.8 bolts. Will these be strong enough for both the fixing of the clutch pedal mechanism to the chassis and the single bolt that fixes the pedal to the leaver arm?

Any idea?
