As title really: a mate has just got a 72 that needs a bit of a resto and wondered who you reccommend for panels etc. Seem to remember hearing Schofields were pretty good?

Any suggestions?

The majority of them are about the same in my experience mate ..

I've had good and crap from schofields ... and good and bad from JK ..

.. but they are mostly .. all quite crap! :sad2:

Van cuts if you want quality .. is the only real way ..

Hilly

PS .. if your in Donny check out Donnydubbers club!

same as above really. They seem to all come out of the same press and get sold through various places.I'm having some Schofields rear corners fitted at the moment and they're proving to be a terrible fit, increasing the labour cost. And Schofields were recomended to me!

I've heard that 'autocraft' panels are good.
I've gone for rust free cuts for as much as I can, next best thing to NOS i.m.o.

yeah, think cuts are the way we'll be going. called at volksheaven in Donny today and they were pretty sure they could help with our list of bits.

Donny dubbers - i'll check 'em out, cheers!

I have recently found the same as you guys. I have always sung the praises of schofields until this weekend when I got replaced my cab steps. The fit was poor to say the least and once in and tried to refit the bumper the bolt holes for the right step were about an inch out!
Even the front valance from Schofields when compared to a GSF one was identical and GSF was about £40 cheaper!!

I agree on the front arches, they are a ***** fit. best thing to do is before fitting them turn your door upside down and play around with them until they fit the door.
