Brake problems ???

Hi my bro- law 1970 bus has spongy breaks .....so far it has new master cylinder,new wheel cylinders and new brake hoses......when bleeding the backs pedal pushes to the floor fine but when we bleed the fronts pedal won't push right down sits about 2" from the floor...any ideas ???

probly the compensator stopping it if all new pads and shoes it will feel a little spongy till thewy bed in

No shoes are ok been in since last year.

Forgot to say drum brakes front and back .

maybe the flexi pipes if old they collapse inside can give you soft breaks

No all 4 flexes have been renewed

Have you adjusted all the star adjusters correctly?

Ye done them,turning nicely now and adjusted the shoes up to the drums spot on ....going to rebleed again tomorrow ......pedal still spongy tonight don't stop very well :-(

I got through loadsa brake fluid bleeding mine. Still not as good as I hoped but some determination does pay off in the end.
