Having a re-think on this. Bought some mint condition 924 seats (in black with the "Pascha" inserts) a while ago, but am now considering going back to stock seats. What do peeps think?

Interesting results so far - keep 'em coming!

If I did opt for stock seats which style would be correct for my bus (68 deluxe) as I've seen seats which are the dog-tooth type finish with vertical "lines" on the seat base and backrest, and I've also seen completely plain (same dog-tooth finish but no veritcal lines on them)?

Originally out bus would have had grey seats (still has grey bench seat) but would black seats look odd against the existing deluxe door panels (two tone grey and black)?

Hi Mike. My de-luxe has red and black interior trim and red front seats. The original rear seats are long gone, but it did come with a black rear seat fitted, and that looked fine. Still have it if anyone wants it, not ripped or torn, got some chewing gum on the squab and wants a clean. Anyhow,in answer to your question, I think either colour would look good.

Hi!

If you have a stock bus, i would say get it OG!! But then again, you could get door cards etc redone, and redo the 924 seats in a contrasting material, and that would look really cool. Maybe a Alcantara type center section on the seats, and black everywhere else?

I am sure they are more comfy though, so that's got to be a important area if you use the bus a lot. How easy are they to slide out of if they are a bit sporty like?

I've voted stock too. :)

With regard to your question about the correct style for your bus, I think I'm right in saying that all Microbuses/Deluxes had horizontal stripes in a ladder frame style (not got a piccy handy of mine to show you).

As for the colour scheme, I think black would look ok. Click on EB member Scott Wilson's website below, and look at his '68 Deluxe. The seats in that appear to be either a dark grey or black colour. By the way I think the reason for the different pattern in his bus, to that which I mentioned above is because his is a South African built one. :)
