Hello, I recently made a camshaft light for my mate as a wedding present, I have had quite a few comments on how nice it was, and that I should sell them. So I thought I would gauge interest and see if anyone would be interested in buying one.
Here is the lamp I made

It’s a air-cooled VW Cam, with a waxed solid oak base, Chrome bayonet lamp fitting, with twin core cloth covered wire, the base has been designed to replicate the shape of a cam lobe.

Due to the time and cost of materials, I would be looking to sell them for around £150, could this be an ideal Christmas present for the Air cooled nut?

Comments welcome,

Thanks

Mark

Looks nice pal. Certainly some work put into it.

Think you'll need to make sure it's twin and earth cable used. The shaft and bayonet fitting is metal, so would need to be earthed. Should be an earth screw on the bayonet fitting to clamp to.

You can still get T&E (3 core) in cloth, so shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the comment, I was thinking about the earth, there was an earth screw on the bayonet, and yes you can get 3 core in cloth.

That's awesome. I make a living selling vintage, retro and old skool cool stuff. That would interest many people I'm sure!!

That's good to know, having made this and really enjoying it, I was wondering if a living could be made of similar things, I have set up a folksy shop, no sales so far, but I'll keep at it.
