Any tips? Last time I did this I bought the 2lt squeeze bottles with the extendable neck and lay under the van for ages squeezing the bloody things. This time I have bought a large container and need to decant it. I was thinking of a pipe from a funnel or something. Cheers

I used a transfer pump which is a bit like a syringe, this is a bit easier than squeezing the bottles but in my experience its still a messy job. You can find them on E-Bay or here :https://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-2144-oil-pumps-and-syringes.aspx - they are also useful for sucking out fluids. Good luck

I similarly got bored lying under the van squeezing bottles, so I bent a length of copper pipe out through the wheel arch and propped it again a workbench. Then dropped a funnel into the copper and poured away. The downside was that the oil took a while to drain down the tube, so I just topped up the funnel and went and did other jobs as the level dropped and was replenished.

just did our splitscreen’s and bought a 500ml oil syringe made it very easy to do, make sure you can get the filler plug out first before you take the drain plug out

Then be careful of the breather hole on the top, or you'll get gear oil everywhere.

Thanks for the heads-up
