Chassis protection

Hi,

Well my 71 tin top arrives in a few days and just like my 5 year old daughter at Christmas I am the most excited person in the world!! She needs the usual rot cutting out from the chassis and while I do that am going to strip her back to metal and put some nice new protective paint on the underside. I have been advised to use a zinc anti corrosion primer but am struggling to find a top coat that is not in an aerosol can. Can I put POR15 or some other over the zinc powder primer???
